H & M collaborated with the Museum of Decorative Arts, located in the Palais du Louvre in Paris, to celebrate the new H & M Conscious Exclusive 2016 collection. H & M in partnership with the Louvre Museum on its next conscious collection in a sustainable way, in collaboration with the curators of the prestigious Museum at the Museum of Decorative Arts on a new line that will be unveiled in April to coincide with the opening of the exhibition “Fashion Forward”.
H & M is proud to announce collaboration with the Museum of Decorative Arts, located in the Palais du Louvre in Paris, to celebrate the new H & M Conscious Exclusive collection. This beautiful new range was inspired by the archives of the Museum and will be launched on Thursday, April 7 to coincide with the opening of the highly anticipated exhibition, Fashion Forward – three centuries of fashion.
H & M is delighted to reveal Parisian decorator, maven style and sustainability champion, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, will be the face of the campaign. “I am honored to be the Ambassador of such a unique project. I think that the idea of creating a collection inspired by the history of art and fashion is fantastic, especially as it is done with innovative and durable materials that are the future of fashion, “says Julia. Known for his distinctly personal sense of style, Julia is the embodiment of cool effortlessly aware, modern.
For this Conscious Exclusive collection H & M design team works in close collaboration with the Museum, delving into their collections of the modes of archiving as well as the work of artists such as Gustave Moreau to find inspiration. The result is a glamorous red carpet modern parts line impregnated touch charming, nostalgic aesthetics and historical heritage.
“With this collection, we brought the idea of sustainable development to new levels. Working with new innovative materials such as beads and rhinestones in recycled glass and Denimite, a recycled material made of worn denim, we have created a contemporary style with a sophisticated charm, ” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H & M.
H & M will be the exclusive sponsor of the next exhibition, which will include styles selected from the archives of H & M, including the first ever linger there H & M designer collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004 as a silhouette of the new Conscious Exclusive collection.
The complete collection, containing clothing and accessories for women, will be available from Thursday, April 7 at approximately 180 stores worldwide and online at hm.com
