The most recent runway show, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel a whole production was used – complete with casino games and a slew of A-list celebrities – like most everything else he does for the brand, but the designer of the latest advertising campaign was decidedly less extravagant.
Chanel’s latest campaign tame and timeless Tweed Gets a serious edge. The iconic style of Chanel just a heavy dose of modern, dark Glam. Been revealed the first pictures, and it stars Anna Ewers and Lindsey Wixson wrapped up in classic tweeds, posing as the models of bygone eras. Lagerfeld shot pictures in black and white with very little to distract you from the clothes, advertising, is a good thing. While it certainly ever did not the most creative or exciting campaign, the Lagerfeld, has certain sophistication in its simplicity. The focus is on the texture and layering of clothing that makes us get us in terms of, when the temperatures would drop. Oh yeah, and running out to buy a brooch.
2015 Couture show was chic as ever and ever, but taking on a decidedly of the autumn campaign more punk Goth sound. Shot in black and white, was heavily grey models what are Anna Ewers and Lindsey Wixson Starr against a back drop. The layers of textured Tweed draped in the models scream classic Chanel, but the dark tones and thigh high rock slot suggest that the label with new designs is ready to play.
Furthermore, the models prove hairstyles, makeup and minimal, but effective accessory that Lagerfeld is fearlessly entering new territory. Instead of Ewers and Wixson rocks more traditional buns or the two faux Mohawks with spiky tips are loose curl look. Their faces show some serious #DontMessWithMe ‘ tude and the heavy black cat’s eye against otherwise pale faces is frightening and dramatic. The colorful brooches on each model of neck add Internet sophistication, netting with Chanel’s signature feel old school Glam of dark punk.
